Marriage certificate for UK TIER 1 (GENERAL) Dependent VISA

Is legalization of marriage certificate required for applying UK TIER 1 (GENERAL) Dependent VISA.

I'm not sure what you mean by legalization. Do you mean attestation by Ministry / Consulate / etc?

When I applied for a dependent visa from India 18 months back, I didn't get the marriage certificate legalized/attested/notarized/etc and there was absolutely no problem. Having said that, I'm not sure if the rules/guidance has changed in the meantime.

It should have marriage registrar seal and signature on it and should be in English. If it's there then no problem...

@Kala, Yes..I meant the stamp from Ministry of External Affairs.

Not required for UK visa.
