SPONSORSHIP LICENSE DELAY

Hi guys,

I need some advice regarding applying for a Tier 2 (General) visa. My employer sent a sponsor's license application on May 11th As we have not heard anything back from the UKBA, my boss asked me to call them to check the status of the application on June 15. On calling them, they told me they've received the application but have not even done anything with it because they have backlogs and applications will take a minimum of 12 weeks to be decided. I just wondering it will take normally 4 to 8 weeks, now it is a 10th week. I m worrying too much, any body knows about this one. how long it will take normally to get licence. please help me out,

Please I need advice as I do not know what to do. Thanks in advance. Appreciate the help.......!

yes it is taking long time than usual due to the shortage of staff in UKBA and high volume of applications.

when is your visa expiring anyway? you can request for urgent treatment in the last 2 weeks of your leave to remain expires.

That sounds about right, as posted elsewhere on this forum we applied Feb 22 and wasn't approved until June 22, with another month or so to process it in Australia and get our passports back.
