visa stamp

Its a standard rule that you can't get your visa stamp in London because one can only get the stamp in his/her country of citizenship or residence. As a student, you're not really a resident of the UK. If you were already in the US, you can sometimes go to Canada or Mexico but you should have had a US immigration attorney tell you that you had to get the stamp in your home country. You take the H approval notice letter, your supporting info and the employer info and apply for the visa stamp in your home country. If you have questions, consult a US immigration attorney.
