Post by sgodhagodha » Thu Dec 28, 2006 10:29 pm

Pay Slip Help Required

Application received: 12th Dec
Decision: 18th Dec - Rejected

Topic One: Cant consider pay slip as its on original letter head and stamped but not signed...but my employer in India doesnt sign the payslips and i left the job in 2003 so i cant request them to issue me new payslips.....suggest me what should i do as planning for appeal ASAP

Topic Two: Cant conside english as need letter from awarding university....i have submited letter from my college who conduct the course and examination in english language...though awarding university in Mumbai University....but it even they says the name of affiliated college of my Degree Certificate and i took the letter from my college and they says its affiliated with Mumbai University so i thought its ok as both are talking about each others name....

Spoke to caseworker and he said English letter will be fine but he is not sure about payslips as his guidline says need signature....and also i have submited the SALARY CERTIFICATE on ORIGINAL LETTER HEAD of employer as most of the company gives in india which cover your full year salary breakdown and it was stamped and signed by Employer....even i had submited my FORM 16 from employer and Computation of Income from CA in india.

Please advice whould try for appeal by telling all this points in my revied request letter....pls help ASAP...

Thanks

I just read the Ofiicial Guidance:

"Applicants who can only provide ‘on-line’ documentation, such as pay slips, will be required to obtain their employer’s signature and stamp on a print-out to authenticate the evidence." p.25

It is not mentioned that it need to be stamped or signed.

If you are working on MNC in the UK they will only provide you standard company pay slip. No signature, no stamp on it. Asking employers to sign 12 numbers of pay slips is next to impossible. I think the person who draft the guidance have undertood the situation in the UK.

I do not know why they are asking you the stamp and signature, etc.

Is it because there is any doubt of originality of dicuments?
Did you submit your tax certifdicate ?
Did you submit your bank statement showing the flow of your salary ?

Are your Payslips on employer letter head, If yes, then it does not need any authentication. No eployer will authenticate letter head.

pantaiema, u r absolutely rite for plain slips or online print outs.

Should be fine...

If u have provided payslips on letter head, then go ahead with the review. U dont need authentication for that, u can mention same in the review app. U cant provide additonal docs.

Thanks

Hi Freebirds,

Your bank statements will do.
One suggestion: If possible provide the Quarterly statements that will be on the Bank's official stationery.
However this will not have the stamp; but will have printed signature.
That should also work.

Hi Freebirds,

I have not submitted the SARAL for the evidence in the past earnings section. I feel this is really confusing; as it will only partly cover the earnings period, so how will that help the case worker for determining the Income earned?

nnj10,

what is the IT returns proof u have submitted.

what u guys think IT returns means? saral or form16.

form16 is thE TDS proof. SARAL is the return proof. see the saral on the top . in the brackets its written that its the income return proof. in one update i gave income tax dept website. it says saral shld be submitted in duplicate and one copy is submitted to dept and other to the assessee.

pl post ur comment

I think IT return is SARAL. Form 16 is anyway an attachment to SARAL.

Hi Freebirds,

For the IT return proof, I have submitted the PHOTOCOPY of original Form-16 for the months of Nov-05 to March-06. I did not submit the SARAL; as I feel it is a self assessment document. But just now; after sending my Application I received the "INCOME TAX ASSESSMENT REPORT ALONG WITH THE REFUND ORDER"; so dont know should I send the addition documents?

As such this is for the last Fiscal Year, so dont know how will they be able to match the earnings of 5 months in the total Fiscal Year ITR. I my self cant match the 5 months earnings with ITR.

For the full 12 months period claimed, I have attached the Tax Deduction certificate (NOT FORM-16) from the employer on the letter head with stamp and signature.

Hope I get approval on the basis of these.

Guys, should I submit the additional "Assessment Report" received from the Income Tax Department; as proof of Income covering the 5 months out of 12 months claimed?

Pls. help.

Thanks,
NNJ10
