Tier 1 (Ext)___ Refused need help urgent !

Hi,

My friend applied for Tier 1 general extention recently, but yesterday got
refusal on the basis of previous college letter in past four years ago.

Here is his background:
* Applied for PSW in 2008 on the basis of college and got 2 years PSW.
* Later in 2010 applied for HSMP and got 2 years.
* Now i applied for extension tier 1 but they refused. although i got all the
points to score for tier 1 extention. but refused on the basis of
previous college letter stating not genuine (cambridge college).
can some one suggest him what to do his visa expiring this month.

no appeal right given, and HO gave him deception.
please tell him what to do.
anyone who has similar case from cambridge who got sucesse please help him

Why did your friend submitted the college letter/degree certificate if that is already proven in initial application?

Did your college appear in PBS calculator?

Was the letter not recent? Does he have a degree cretificate?

Is this your application or are writing on someone else's behalf? If it is for yourself, then it would help if you write the details provided in the refusal letter, just as they were written in the letter to make sure I & others reading this will understand the precise reason for refusal.

Additionally did you first enter the UK with PSW visa EC in 2008 or did you apply to switch immigration categories from some other category to PSW while in the UK?

I came to UK in 2005 as a student, i have extended my visa and in 2008
i applied for PSW on the bases of PG course.
no i did not submit any college letter at this time,
i have degree certificate which i already got points.

recently what happen when applied for tier1 ext.
they gave all the points which i should qualify,
I went in PEO for one day service, systems were down on that day, so they say
return in few days after systems up.
but they further chek in HO, and refused and put deception for using cambridge college letter to gain PSW in 2008/.

please urgent help required>

As requested before can you please post the refusal letter wording exactly as stated, to ensure nothing is missed in translation here. I'm trying to understand what "college letter" is being referred to here? The first step would be for you to post the reason for refusal sentences here (exactly as given in your refusal letter)

I don't quite understand what you mean by your statement above "no i did not submit any college letter at this time, i have degree certificate which i already got points".

What I understand so far is the following:

1) EC as Undergraduate Student granted in home country = 2005
2) Leave to remain as Postgraduate Student (PSW) = 2008
3) Leave to remain as Highly Skilled Migrant (HSMP) = 2010
4) Extension for leave to remain as Tier 1 General Migrant = 2012 (refused - grounds for refusal unclear at present, though suspected to be due to false college letter submitted at somepoint during the 2005-2012 time period above)

So am I right to believe that the Case Worker told you that you got all the points to qualify during your interview for Tier 1 extension but then when they verified your previous docs from their records, they found 1 of the previously submitted degree certificate is fake as its from a dodgy college?

Reply yes or no to this. Add further explaination as it would be very important for you to get proper advice from fellow members.

Also, do you believe there is any reason why your college letter is considered invalid at this point. Like did your college closed down or was involved in fake certificate scandals or something like that?

Sorry for speculating a little but as cs95tdg suggested without the proper words from your rejection letter, its hard to say what went wrong in your case. Its a strange decision and am sure you will be able to fight it, if everything was genuine from your side.

please confirm you have tried to claim points for the qualification you have obtained from Cambridge college of learning ?

was your qualification in the field of IT OR Business studies

was it pgd diploma which is now not even point base calculator

did you know about the test cases against your college ?

Now what sort of evidence you have to prove you did went to this college & done the course you are claiming the points for ?

I think this thread explains why OP got refused for further leave to remain in UK.
