tier-1 (G) extension - a few clarifications needed

Post by theimmigrant » Tue Jul 31, 2012 12:26 am

Hi guys,

I am going to apply for my extension in beginning of september this year as my visa gona expire on 28th of sept, this year. I just need some clarifications . I got my first visa (EC) in march 2010 and i applied in 2009 Feb. (i know it took me 1 year to get it :))

1 - points based calculator on ukba site doesnt accept my bachelors degree. What shall i do? i heard that rules stay the same for extension, as they were for your initial application. ( i will need to send PB calculator print out with my original app)

2 - what address do i hAve to post my app to?
3 - can i send bank draft? if yes , to whom shall i address it to?
4 - Do i still have to send my original bachelors degree or masters degree and english language certificate with original app ?

i have got my first question answered from tier-1 G policy guideline here
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... idance.pdf

That could also be the reason of PB calculator not showing points for my degree

[b]56. An applicant will be awarded no points
for a Bachelor’s degree if:
(a) his last grant of entry clearance was
as a Tier 1 (General) Migrant under the
rules in place between 31 March 2009
and 5 April 2010, or
(b) (i) he has had leave to remain as a
Tier 1 (General) Migrant under the rules
in place between 31 March 2009 and 5
April 2010, and
(ii) his previous entry clearance, leave
to enter or leave to remain before
that leave was not as a Highly Skilled
Migrant, as a Writer, Composer or Artist,
as a Self-employed Lawyer, or as a Tier
1 (General) Migrant.
