Hsmp dependant Visa Help pls

Hello there,

I wonder if some one could please clear my doubt.

I am a work permit holder and my wife is a HSMP permit holder(got her EC from her home country& got her extension).
I am wondering, is there any chance I could switch category from my
work permit to dependent visa of my wife?

do i have to leave the country if i want to do this ?

I know that if your wife ever applies for an extension then you can be included on that application. I'm not sure whether you can make an application on your own though, if you can it would be on an FLR(O) form - it might not be possible though.
