You will be eligible to apply upto 28 days before your 5th anniversary from EC. I.e. 19 Nov 2012 - 28 days. This is due to the concession explained under Q5 in the following sticky. http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=79378Rajuk09 wrote:EC given from - 19 Nov 2007
Entered UK - 23 Jan 2008
Visa type - Work Permit
Current Visa - Tier 1 General (switched on Mar 2010)
My understanding was that the concession applied if you were granted a 5 year 'continuous' initial visa (EC), not if you have accumulated 5 'continuous' years via extention/switches? Could I be wrong?cs95tdg wrote:You will be eligible to apply upto 28 days before your 5th anniversary from EC. I.e. 19 Nov 2012 - 28 days. I presume you are referring to the statement below. If so what that statement is saying is that you need to have leave to remain to cover the entire 5 year period, & not that your orginal EC visa needs to be 5 years in duration.wpilr_nov12 wrote:My understanding was that the concession applied if you were granted a 5 year 'continuous' initial visa (EC), not if you have accumulated 5 'continuous' years via extention/switches?
