NI contribution for ILR

Post by macool » Thu Jul 26, 2012 9:30 pm

Hi,
I am self-employed (doing IT consultancy) and my gross salary is shown to be less the threshold. So, my accountant said I don't have to pay NI.
Today I submitted my applicate in person and the case worker has asked to provide a letter for the evidence of NI contribution or excemption letter.
I had a talk with my accountant and they have provided letter saying I don't have to pay NI because of low basic salary.

Can this create any problem? Is there anything else that I should do?

Thanks in advance for reply!

regards

Hi Raj,
I have NOT received any suggestion from anyone in the forum. Do you have any idea about this situation?
I am waiting to receive a reply from home office.

Many thanks

ILR approval

Post by macool » Mon Aug 06, 2012 11:52 am

Dear All,
I received a call from home office on 2nd Aug'12 confirming my ILR has been approved. They posted my documents in 2nd class recorded delivery on 3rd Aug'12 (Friday) and I received my documents today, 6th Aug'12 (monday). I was impressed by their service. The letter says I should receive BRP (Biometric Resident Permits) within 7-10 working days.

Many thanks!!!
