dear all
we have got our visa (tier1 dependant)refused due to insufficient maintanence of funds.
we are going for an appeal since we have enough evidence to prove about the maintanence. I just want to knw hw long will it take for the hearing (we are planning for paper hearing) & after that hw long will it take to stamp the visa? Is it possible to apply for a fresh visa without going for an appeal?
thanks a lot

Depends on whether the ECM review at the visa post review accepts your evidence as additional rather than new. That could take 8 to 10 weeks. Otherwise the hearing in London will take up to six months.

thanks for the response. I want ask one more thing, after the refusal of our visa, in the returned doc list.. we found they have underlined & put tick mark with red ink on the date: "valid until" on my spouse's visa page. What does it mean?My spouse 's visa expires on november 2012.
Would it cause a potential reason for rejection if we apply freshly?
thanks

They can't refuse your visa because your partner's leave is short-dated. But it does mean that your visa will only be valid in line with your partner.

Depends on your location, the world is a big place so you will have to look for yourself on website of the VAC in the country where you will be applying.

my company generally wants the passport to be valid until next 6 months before applying for Visa. COnsider renewing the passport first.
Can you please tell me how much is the fund needed for dependent application for Wife. Do we need to also show the main application has enough fund even though he has Tier 1 already.
