Tax pymt Issue - Please advise

Post by karthik_513 » Sun Aug 12, 2012 10:13 am

Hi All,

I got my tier 1 visa last year, my next ext. is at June 2013.

I showed my earning from both employment & self-employed.

I did file my tax for the full earning (35k+) I showed for my visa, but I haven't paid the full payment (tax) to HMRC yet.

I will pay in full before my next extension(at june 2013).

Will this be a problem when I apply for my extension??

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

As long as you do not pay late, not a problem.

Self Assessment ..... 31 January and 31 July are of course the significant dates.

hi john, thanks for your reply... as i mentioned earlier in my post:

The tax which i had to pay is for april 2010 to april 2011. The due day was 31st Jan 2012.

So i am paying it late, but i have filed the tax for the FULL amount which I claimed for my visa.

If i pay my tax after the due date(which i am), will that be a problem for my T1 extension??

My suspicion is that there will not be any effect upon a Tier 1 extension, but there will be an effect upon any subsequent application for Naturalisation.

But other opinions very welcome.
