My student visa was refused in September 2011 and I won the apple 10th of November 2011 discretionary basis. My course was finished on 7th of March 2012. Immigration Judge allowed leave to remain until 17th of March 2012. I have applied for Tier 1 Post Study Work on 12 of March 2012 without BRP card ( UKBA did not issue the card until that date). I received the tier 4 BRP card three weeks ago and resent to UKBA(valid from 28/06/2012 to 22/07/2012). Until now I have not received biometric invitation (but received Acknowledgement letter 24/03/2012 ). Its about 5 months. Is there any possibility my PSW application will be invalid or refused? Thank you

Thank you all for posting your timelines - it has been a great reassurance.

I finally recd. my documents yesterday:

Application sent: 19 March 2012
Biometrics submitted: 09 May 2012
Documents recd.: 08 August 2012
BRP: waiting

I didn't contact any MPs or complain to the UKBA.

I have a question for those who did receive their BRPs. I need to travel out of the country asap and I am not usually home during the day, so Were you able to arrange a date for delivery of the BRP? If so, How?

Telling us your received your BRP without sharing your timeline adds little value to the house!!!

My timeline

Post by PSW_Wait » Sat Aug 11, 2012 7:07 pm

Applied 27th March 2012
Biometrics Done: 12th May 2012
Documents Recieved: 8th August 2012
BRP recieved: 10th August 2012

I did contact my MP and wrote a letter to the UKBA stating that I need to attend conference outside UK. I dont know if any of those helped or it was processed chronologically.

I have a feeling that they are now processing applications with biometrics done in 1st week of May so hopefully you can figure when you'll get yours.

All the Best!

Regards,

J.
