Naturalisation Application Date

Hi All,

I'm sorry if this question being repeated.

I got ILR status on 16th SEP 2011. So my Eligibility for Naturalisation on 16th SEP 2012. I am planning to submit my application through Nationality Checking Service (NCS). But 16th SEP 2012 falls on Sunday. Can I submit my application 14th SEP 2012 Friday at NCS? I presume, application date is a date that Home Office receive the application, not NCS?

Couldn't you wait and apply on the 17th? What if NCS staff turn you down as you haven't completed 1yr yet.

if i were you i wouldnt take the risk. i would wait until 17 Sept. will a few days make that much of a difference to you?

No you can't. I got my ILR on the 16th of May 2011. At my local council they have the NCS service on Wednesday every week. and 16th of May2012 was a Wednesday, I was told that I am eligible only from the 17th and I was asked to book in on the 23rd.

So going by that logic, don't think you can apply on the 17th even if were a weekday

I think it depends on NCS and it varies with council.

I have received ILR on 24/8/11 and I have booked with NCS Bracknell on 24/8/12 and they have no issues.
