Can I get my passport back in two weeks

Post by bobby80gh » Sun Aug 19, 2012 8:32 pm

I applied for ILR based on 10 yrs long residence last week. On Friday I had a 6 months consultancy contract which requires me to work out of the country. The problem is now I do not have a passport as I have posted my passport to the home office together with my ILR application. I want to find out if my MP can help me get my passport and ILR within the next two weeks as I am require to start this contract in two weeks time. I am UK tax payer and beside the country will also benefit if I am able to work on this contract. I have spent the last two months trying to secure this contract and it will be so sad to let this contract slip away because of passport. This world is not fair.

Not without withdrawing your application, if it hasn't already been decided on.
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.
My ILR, MN1 and kids PP stories.

There are millions and millions of UK taxpayers like you.

Immigration applications are decided under immigration rules, and not on the general principle of "benefit of the country".

Now, you have two choices, and only two choices.

1. Ask for the return of your passport. Once they return your passport, your application is automatically treated as withdrawn.

2. Wait until UKBA makes a decision.

Once again, only two choices, not three choices. You MP or Prime Minister or Queen Elizabeth II will not be able to help you, apart from the two choices I have already mentioned.

You might be wrong. I will get my passport back in two weeks with my ILR and I will scan you a copy. On paper they say the law is no respecter of persons but in reality it is. Celebrities are most often spare jail sentence because of their status. What you have to know is to every rule there is an exception.

I would say, good luck. Do not send me scan of your passport. I have seen thousands of the real ones.

And by the way, if you are so sure about how it will pan out, and how you will get things done like celebrities do, then why are you wasting your time on this forum?

And also please let us know what kind of a celebrity are you?
Why not find an exception in the rules and get British citizenship instead of ILR, like some "celebrities. Why waste time and money on ILR?

Well, sorry sir. Its you who is dumb and stupid. You asked something, and I gave accurate information.

Because my information does not fulfill your personal requirements, does not mean that I provided wrong information.

You asked something, and then you yourself came up with the answer, and now again your are implying that you are looking for advice.

Can you first decide what you want to do?

You said you will get your passport with ILR in two weeks, so now what is the need to hang on to this forum and read other peoples comments?

You are going to get your passport in two weeks anyways, no matter what anyone says.
