Maintenance (funds) for the family of Relevant Points Based

Post by new2world » Tue Aug 28, 2012 10:56 pm

Hi Guys,

Dependent form shows only 600 pounds required to apply visa for tier one dependent but the guidance notes shows if you are apply separately you need 600 pounds for each dependent plus 900 for main applicant.
I am going to apply for my newborn baby as separately but my funds are not up to their requirement.I have 1900 pounds from last three months but they need 2100 pounds.Due to some reason I have to apply now.Any one had the same experience who got dependent visa approval on just dependent funds like 600 as mentioned in dependent application form.

Please share your thoughts and experiences if anyone had.

Thanks

I appreciate that the guidance is confusing as it tends to assume that everyone in the family is applying for leave at the same time. Appendix E of the immigration rules is a better indicator.

You only need 600 (and nothing more) because each separate applicant needs to have their own separate maintenance. Nobody else in your family is making an application. I also realise this is your first post and that you may not yet have had time to search the forum for what is perhaps the most common question asked of this community.
