ILR and FLR(M) Queries - Urgent!

Post by Confused Case » Mon Sep 03, 2012 10:06 am

Dear All,
I'm due for ILR on 1 Oct 2012 my Visa Expires on 30 Oct 2012
My Wife who is currently on Tier-1 general dependent visa, doesn't complete the requirement of 2 years stay in UK by 2012. Hence I need to apply for FLR(M) for her. Also her visa would expire at the same time as mine (30 Oct 2012).

Que:
1. Do I need to apply for SET(O) first, get the ILR issued then apply for wife's extension of stay with FLR(M)? Or Can I make both the applications simultaneously?
2. She has passed "Life in the UK" test. Is it sufficient evidence to fulfill English Language Requirement? Or Does she has to to take ESOL/IELTS test?

Please advice,

you can do so. Book SET (O) appt for yourself and then book FLR(M) appt for your wife later on. I am in same boat but I will be posting wife's FLR(M). cheaper that way.

she will need A1 Spouse Test. >>> http://englishexamcentres.co.uk/registe ... llege.html

For FLR (M) english requirement is ESOL (Level A) Listening and speaking and for ILR requirement is Life in uk.
If applying in person then get separate appointment for your wife , make sure before expiry of her visa.
