Mandate Pass Life in the UK Test Before Booking Appointment

Hi All, I have to book a appointment before 25 October 2012. I called PEO office and they told me that you need to pass life in the UK test before booking online appointment. My test date is on 14 Sep.

I have two questions:

1. Question: Is it mandatory to pass life in the UK before booking a appointment?

2 Question: How we can get a online appointment. I have tried numerous times in last 3 days but no appointment date is available on October.

If you are applying for ILR, then you have to pass Life in the UK Test before you apply.
Answers:
1) No. It is not. You have to pass the Test before you apply either in person or post.
2) Try booking at midnight and after several attempts you may be able to book an appointment, but remember appointments are released for the next 42 days.

I was able to get same day appointment in October after 1hour battle on UKBA website.
