Tier1 visa expiry exit and visitor re-entry

Post by signature160 » Mon Sep 10, 2012 3:40 pm

Hi All,
Hoping somebody can clarify to following, it's been difficult finding a precise answer.

My Tier 1 General visa expires on November 5 and I happen to have a flight scheduled to depart London to Hong Kong on November 20. I plan to leave London for France prior to Nov 5 where I will spend time before flying back to London Nov 16. I want to be sure if I can re-enter on a visitor visa for the 4 days before my flight. There is nothing obvious about the rules/cooling off period on re-entry after a visa has expired on the UKBA website.

Can anybody help clarify?

Many thanks,

If you can show a ticket it should not be a problem.

Thanks for your response, proof of ticket not an issue.
