tier 2 dependent visa

Post by vas1004 » Sat Sep 15, 2012 9:30 pm

Hi all/ experts

Can any one please help me with this situation
Currently I am on PSW(about to finish in 26th Oct 2012) and my girl friend is on tier 2 general. we are thinking to get married in 1st week of in Edinburgh. what is the procedure to apply as an dependent. I am working in call center in Edinburgh,my girl friend used to live in Edinburgh but then she got job in London she moved to London few months ago. my girl friend is maintaining funds in her bank but she did not change her address in the bank her statements are still addressed as Edinburgh address . so will there be any problem for applying visa as a tier 2 dependent after civil registration marriage?

Thanks in advance

The process times will vary depending on the country where she is applying from so, if she wants to keep her job, make sure her employer is apprised of the likely time frame for her return to the UK:

Do you intend on living together once you are married?

I presume its you applying for the dependent visa not your girlfriend as lucapooka has assumed. However as stated you will need to apply from outside the UK.

If you are not living with your spouse then they are likely to question whether the relationship is genuine.
