Travelling after getting a FLR-M Visa

Post by nofx » Mon Sep 17, 2012 2:51 pm

Hi Guys,

I have a few questions regarding travelling abroad after gettingthe FLR M Visa in UK.

1. Is it possible to travel to europe on a spouse flr m visa, or do i still need a Schengen visa?. Also, do I need the Schengen visa for all of Europe or just some countries?

2. The Schengen visa also expects one to have travel insurance for upto £30,000. Now, i dont have any travel insurance. LLoyds TSB has a silver card scheme which offers travel insurance ( http://www.lloydstsb.com/current_accoun ... urance.asp )
Would this fulfill the insurance criteria of the visa?

3. Do i need to pay for this visa?

Would like to hear your experiences after getting the spouse visa, and if there are any restrictions or problems faced.

Thanks all.

1. A visa is still required.
2. I'm not an expert on insurance but seems good enough.
3. Yes. Unless your partner is EU citizen (including British) and you are travelling together.
