Enter UK without EEA Family permit?

Hello All,

My wife and I will be traveling for five days to London next month. I am Bulgarian and she is Russian permanently residing in Bulgaria.

The question is: Does she need to apply for the EEA Family Permit, or she will be fine with her passport and the BG Permanent Residence Card.

We will be traveling together, by plane and we usually have with us our marriage certificate tarnslated to English. We have traveled almost all Europe, without any problems, but I am concerned about UK.

Any help is appreciated!

It will likely be very hard for you to get on the airplane. If you were driving or taking the train it would be easier.

As others have stated, if you fly you will most likely have problems boarding to the UK.

We will apply for EEA Family Permit and let's hope they will issue it fast enough, we have app. a month to the trip.

OK. I am more concerned now, after we applyed and we had the interview in the embassy in Sofia. We were told that the EEA FP is issued in Warsaw????? The lady just collected all the documents and my wife's passport and she said everything will be sent to Warsaw. The answer to all our questions was "I cannot coment".
Is all this normal? If I knew this earlier, I would have spent my money to go somewhere else!!!!

It's normal.

The UK has several centres which deals with visa applications and Warsaw is one of them. Decisions are not taken in the consulate. It should not delay the application.

Could you clarify something? What kind of interview did you have?

The "interview" was just a collection of documents to be sent to Warsaw. We only discussed, with the lady from the embassy, what to send and what is not needed. I guess there were no questions to us, because we put every possible information in the Application form.

Ok, I understand. Not really an interview then. I'd imagined something very different.

BTW - Nothing unusual about it going to Warsaw, quite normal.

Hello Sir/Madam,

I am an EEA national who arrived at UK on June 24,2012 with my kid who is also an EEA national.This is my first visit to UK.I wish to settle down here in UK permanently with my family.

I am residing in UK for past two and a half months with my kid now and my husband is currently residing in INDIA. I am looking for a job so that my husband can apply for a family permit visa to join us in UK soon.

My question is regarding number of pay slips to submit for the EEA family permit visa application.

if I get a job now is it fine if I just send the first month's pay slip to him so that he can apply for family permit visa.

Payslips:Covering up to the previous 6 months. If your salary is paid directly into your bank account, you should consider providing the statements showing these payments

Is it mandatory to send six months payslips for the visa application process?

As I am a single parent with a child,I want my husband to be here as soon as possible to support me financially,so please let me know whether my husband can apply for EEA family permit visa with my one month's pay slip.

A letter from your employer would be fine.

If you are presently working, then he can either present a letter from your employer or ONE of your pay slips. And a photocopy of your EU passport. And the marriage certificate. And his passport.

That is ALL that must be submitted. Nothing more.
