IS SENDING SARAL A GOOD IDEA IF You dont have frm16

Post by umeshsethi » Fri Jan 12, 2007 7:19 am

Hi guys, i know you have had other posts regarding saral and form 16 [ Indian tax context] . I came across a thread http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... 2&start=60 of a person getting rejection due to saral and another in another forum.

Has anyone got approval using saral (along with the payslips etc. ofcourse , as saral wont cover the 12 months) .

What i am doing is attaching a CA letter explaining Indian tax system and format of saral + also a link to indian gov. tax site in cover letter.

Reason is i have not got the form 16,. Employer is not willing to give duplicate. Got it mentioned from letter from employer as well... that they are unable to give F16

SO Should i send saral at all ? As we all know saral is mostly just Stamped., and that too a HINDI stamp.

Anyone practically getting approved with saral as part of documentation?

I think these caseworkers are plain lazy, they can verify genuninity by calling up, which these chaps are anyways going to do during entry clearance . What the heck are they charging 315 GBP for %&6$^#^#^.

Umeshsethi,
You are right. Caseworkers, if they wish, they verify your income details from SARAL. But, as you can guess, they will mostly likely not.

So, I would suggest NOT to risk your application by sending SARAL. Instead, can you ask your Employer to issue a Salary Certificate, stating your gross annual salary, bonus etc. etc? I got the same from Employer when I applied. Usually HR will issue such certificates.

Hope this helps.

Thanks mate.

By the way, i hope you got successful as well this way?

Also what i got made is the letter from employer stating the salary details + the fact that they cannot provide form 16 since it is provided in May / July.

PS - we all know that if they really tried , they can, but their is a limit to what you can negotiate with , with an employer without totally pissing them off.

Only , there is a contrary logic to this [ not providing saral] in case of P60's [Uk tax ret.] where one guy got rejection because he didn't provide P60 thinking it was no need as it was not covering 12 months...

ANYONE ACTUALLY GETTING SUCCESS with SARAL / WITHOUT SARAL as part of DOCUMENTATION ?
