Success - ILR Set (O) - Self employed with 2 dependents

Post by parrybrookes » Tue Sep 18, 2012 5:44 pm

Hi,

First of all.. thanks everyone for all your support and overwhelming response to various questions.

Type of visa holding: WP + Tier 1 (General) since Oct 2007.
PEO attended: Sheffield
Type of employment: Self employed since Apr 2009.
Gaps: Biggest gap was of 84 days. But overall below 180 days.

Appointment was @9, Reached @8:30.

Initial screening, Biometrics and payment was done and CW was assigned by 10.

Paid by credit card and thankfully it went through. No calls need to be made to banks. This was my biggest doubt but nothing like that happened. I had already spoken with my bank but they said if it gets blocked, just give us a call. Chose to pay by credit card because I was keen on earning Air miles. :-D

Decision was made by 11.

I provided basic but necessary documents advised in Set (O) form.
Made one file for originals and other for copies in same order.

The order of documents was:
- Application form.
- Passport, photos and Biometrics cards
- Life in the UK passing certificates
- P60 forms
- Letter from Accountant confirming earnings
- Salary slip and Dividend voucher was paired according to the withdrawal dates.
- Personal bank statements with necessary entries highlighted.
- Business bank statements with entries of dividend and salaries highlighted.
- Invoices
- Marriage certificate, Council tax, energy bills in name of dependent.
- Birth certificate of daughter

To be on safer side, I was carrying additional documents such as contract copies, VAT / Corporation tax payment receipts, explanation and proofs for 84 days absence; but did not want to give those unless asked for.

Overall, no questions asked. Nothing. And result was pretty quick. Satisfied with the service.

All the best to you all and thank you very much for all your inputs. I will be more than happy to answer your queries.

Parry
