Limited company - Majority shareholder

Post by badalv » Wed Sep 26, 2012 5:07 pm

Hello,

I currently work as a contractor with my own Limited Company. My wife does contracting as well. Hence, the two of us are 50% each shareholders in the company.

I hold a Tier 1 General visa and my wife is on dependant visa.

My question to this forum would be -

1. Should I be a majority shareholder of our limited company to apply for an extension of my Tier 1 General visa?

2. If yes to the above query, should I be a 100% shareholder in the company or just being a majority shareholder would be sufficient?

Cheers
