Solihull PEO: Payment process change from 1 October

Post by Ozair » Fri Sep 28, 2012 3:13 pm

Our payment processes will change on 1 October 2012. On and after this date you must pay by credit or debit card if you want to pay for your application on the day of your appointment.

Does anyone know if this credit or debit card payment will still be taken AFTER meeting with the caseworker and after a decision has been made?

In my case,

The case worker told me he is happy with the documents and that they are going to grant us settlement visa. We can proceed to the payment counter and then to biometrics counter. Then he asked to confirm that myself or my wife did not had any criminal convictions. I replied in negative. This suggests that although he was convinced with every other aspect of the application but it was still dependent on a clean CRB check by the home office which he was unable to do at the time he went into the back office. This could be because the system was occupied by other case worker and he did not want us to wait longer. He said you should be aware if you have criminal convictions and if you have a clean record, you should not worry.

I went to the payment counter and they just kept the payment page with them, no chip and pin.

Later, when i got the decision letter, the payment page was returned with a "PAID" stamp on it. I checked my account, the payment is still outstanding, waiting to be processed. Available balance is down by £2066 but the money is still in my account.
