Tier 1 valid until 09/01/2013

So if you arrived within 3 months of your EC - you can count EC date as your entry date towards 5 years (disregarding that you still have enough leave to wait for 3 more months).

number of absences - 252 (more than 225 have to be approved by a senior case worker). Longest absence 22 days.
As a proof I only had a standard letter from my current employer saying I am permanently employed there since 10/01/2011 (no dates for absences were given). Senior case worker is in a separate room - so I was just sitting and waiting for his/her decision.

I had loads of stuff as cohabitation proof - she only took 3 letters from different sources for different dates for the last 2 years. She just looked for emails where both our names were mentioned.

She also asked why we not applying to our son - I said we will apply for MN1. We said that's fine but asked for a birth certificate (didn't expect that but we had it with us). She than used the birth certificate as cohab proof too.

Came in @10am, left @2pm.

Waiting for BRPs now.

I thought it was more than 180 days that had to be approved as reflected in the SET(O) application form. Is it 225 now?

Officially if it's more than 180 days you need to provide a reason for absences.
However if it's less than 225 days I think (!! not official) you will be fine even without any supporting evidence.
If it's less than 225 days - no approval is needed from a senior case worker (official - but it's their internal procedure, so you won't fine it in any documents). Our approval took about 40 mins - as the senior case worker was busy with something else and we just had to sit there at the counter and wait..

One question from me - The employer letter, did you submit it purely to prove the absence? Or the CW asked for it anyway. If I do not have to many absence days (i.e only out of the country for 30 days), will I still need this letter?

You don't need this letter. I submitted it just to support my absences sheet.

is there any salary requirement when u apply for ILR, like we normally have in Tier1 ??

Our appointment was for 10-45. We came at around 10-10 and had to wait for about 10 more mins for the security lady to give us our queuing number.
