SET(M) ILR application, help plz

Post by Myb » Tue Oct 02, 2012 3:18 pm

My two year spouse visa expires on the 06/12/2012, i booked an appointment on the 12/11/2012 to apply for my ILR using the form SET(M), can you guys confirm that my appointment falls in the 28 days period ?
Thank you

Here is my new question i appreciate you help and advice, thank you

Hi guys
I will be applying for ILR in one month time using form SET(M), me and my spouse moved into our own flat six months ago, we used to live with my inlaws before that
-my first quesion is, what documents i would need to prove that we lived together at my inlaws, other than our mail

- should i write a covering letter explaining the change of address, if so can someone please give me a template or an example of a covering letter
Thank you for your time and advice

This is my list of documents i ll be taking with me to the PEO appointment to apply for ILR using form SET(m)

Documents

1. PEO appointment booking letter
2. SET(M) form
3. Photos with name on the back (2 mine + 1 wife )
4. Original passport ( 2 mine + 1 Wife)
5. Life in the UK test results
6. P60 + payslips ( mine + Wife)
8. Bank statements ( mine + wife )
9. Biometric card
10. Employer letter
11. Last six months cohabitation documents with joint names ( we moved to our new place 6 months ago) more than 6 documents
12. Cohabitation documents from previous address (not in joint names) covering period from date of marriage till date we moved to the new address
13. Letters from UkBA ( COA approval and biometrics appointment ) dated 2 years ago
14. Marriage certificate
15. Couple photos as proof of genuine relationship
16. Lease agreement with both our names on it
17. Letter from inlaws as proof of us living with them before we could afford our own place

Just to play it safe i have booked an appointment at the settlement checking service to make sure i have eveything i need and to copy the documents and to make sure i filled the SET (M) Form
all that without sending the application throught the SCS, its all to get a quick smooth same day decision at the premium appointment in Cardiff PEO

Is the list complete or there is anything else we should take with us ?

Since my wife's presence is required, will there be questions for me or her at the appointment ?

Sorry for the very long topic and thank you for stoping by

When did you enter UK on the spouse visa?

A simple look at the calendar will confirm that 28 days before 06/12/12 is 08/11/12, so clearly an appointment on 12/11/12 is totally OK.
