Tier-1 second extension educational qualification points

Post by sudhir317 » Wed Oct 03, 2012 10:47 pm

Hi,

I have got my tier-1 extension for the first time recently and my second extension will come up in 2015.
I had got 30 points for educational qualifications in my initial application based on my BE degree on the PBS Calculator.
For my first extension, I have got 35 points for my qualification based on the NARIC Statement of Comparability that stated that my post-graduate diploma in management is equivalent to a Masters degree.
My question is the following:
1. Do i need a new NARIC Statement of Comparability again for my second extension, OR since I have earned 35 points already during my first extension, I do not need to again provide the NARIC Statement of Comparability to claim 35 points for Masters degree equivalence.
2. If I do require the NARIC letter, do I need a new one or can I reuse the same one that I currently have used for my first extension.
This is important for me, as presently I am just having enough points for renewal and I will have to definitely make up for any loss in points due to qualifications with increased points for my earnings.
Any help or guidance on this would be highly appreciated.

Reading the application form will help (Hint: H4).

Thanks for this.
Yes. Just read through. It does mention accepting the degree used during initial application for the same points earned would be permissible evidence.
I might just be nitpicking here but would that also apply for degree recognised for extension. Since I have used Bachelors for initial application and Masters for extension.
If it had mentioned "initial\earlier extension" it would have been unambiguous. As I said earlier, it maybe a case of me reading too much between the lines.
Can you kindly share your opinion on this?

Initial application = "first" application.

Yes I do understand that initial means first. Hence the query on the first extension.
Anyways I will seek guidance from ukba on this.
