Help With Indian Visa

Post by Pink Lady » Wed Oct 10, 2012 7:07 pm

Please can someone help or Advise what to do.

We have a holiday booked to Goa, my husband was born in India came her to UK as a baby and last went to India 30 years ago, he has had his british passport for as long as he can remember, however the Visa office want a deemed Surrender Certificate, the problem is he has no details of his original Indian passport at all or any details.
He does have his brtish Certificate of Registration but the Visa office will not issue his visa without the Surrender Certificate.
Anyone have any advise on how to get one without any details of his original Indian passport.
Many Thanks

He will have to have the following-

1.Applicants who have ever held an Indian Passport but are unable to produce the same for surrender for any reason (loss/misplacement/submitted to UK Home Office long time back) are required to furnish a notarised affidavit in original (if Passport is already expired) and also a Police Report (in cases where Indian Passport was still valid).

2.Indian Origin Proof
