how to apply dependent visa for newborn baby

I am on HSMP visa and with leave to remain valid
till 2009. My daughter was born in 2006. Now we need to apply for
dependent visa for her. Could anyone who had done this tell me what kind of document is required? I have ask home office. They just told me that wel need to apply using form FLR(O) and full information is given with the form. But from that form I still dont know what to submit. Is it very sraightforward that I just provide parent's passport showing our visa and baby's full bith certificate. Or should we provide same kind of documents as when I applied extension? In this case, should I provide documents according to new extension rule? Thanks for sharing experience.

yhdyhd- you need to register your baby with the Brit government first. Then, you need to get a passport for the baby from your embassy, and finally you apply for FLR as a dependant of HSMP holder.

FLR is the exact same process as your spouse, with the exeption of your baby registration info. Same fee even (really expensive).

Thansk for your answer. Baby's birth and passport are easy to get. What I am concern is the visa for her. I know we need to pay £335 for it. My wife applied the visa together with me, so there is no extra trouble except a marriage certificate. But now the baby is applying alone, I want to know do I need provide all the materials like when I applied for mysely?

Even I got baby 10 days back. Got her full birth certificate & now will make trip to london , to register & apply for passport.

I guess no need to send all ecnomic documents. Just your passport & baby's one with birth certifacte should be fine while filling FLR(o). Also one can use same day service for this application

I am in exact same situation as you are. Along with our (both parents) passports, baby's passport, baby's birth certificate I am planning to send my past 3 months bank statements as well.

Since, this is not an HSMP extension, I dont think we need to send the whole bunch of documents that we did for extension.

Thanks for information. I am not anxious to apply for her visa now as she will not leave the country recently, but just make clear the situation. I would agree with you. From the information I have got so far, our passports, baby's birth certificate plus 3 months bank statements would be enough.
