Maintenance Funds Bank query

Hi All,
I need advice on maintenance funds evidence required. Is it acceptable by UKBA if the maintenance funds are in Indian bank. And i show indian bank statements as evidence for the funds? I want to apply for Tier 1 visa extension but the UK bank balance fell below required level.
Also can I show funds from mulitple banks over period of 90day?
