Can I Work While My Visa Application Is In Process

Post by kundnanichitra » Sun Oct 14, 2012 9:42 pm

Hi am I allowed to work while my visa application is under process I am changing employer and my visa with current employer expires on 25/10/2012. I will be applying for Tier 2 visa with my new employer on 23/10/2012. If I am allowed is the employment going to be with my old or new employer. I was on tier 2 visa with my old employer also.
Thanks in advance.

You may continue to work under the same terms and conditions of your current leave (i.e. with your current employer), if you make a valid in-time application. You may change employers only after your new leave is granted, allowing you to do so.

Hi Vinny I forgot to mention that my current employers licence has been suspended am I still eligible to continue work with him even after my visa expiry date also my Wife who is on a dependent visa and works for some other company is she eligible to continue work as well.
Thanks again for your time just making sure we follow the system and rules which is so complicated.
Thanks

"238. If you are already working for the sponsor, you will be able to carry on working unless the sponsor’s licence is withdrawn."

In the above sentence the word withdrawn, does it mean the complete termination i.e. revoke of the sponsors license or temporary suspension.
Thanks
