Please help re new ILR rules

Post by amielovesrick » Mon Oct 22, 2012 7:18 pm

Hi

I have searched the boards and read everything I could find regarding the new ILR requirements in particular the new income threshold rules however I am still clueless has to whether this applies to us.

My husband was granted entry clearance in December 2011 and entered the UK in February 2011. We married in March 2011 and he was granted FLM. He is due to apply for ILR has my spouse in February 2013 when his current visa expires.

Does the new income threshold rules apply to us?

Please help

Many thanks in advance.

Quote from UKBA's website on the changes to family migration rules: "If you already have leave to enter or remain in the UK, on the basis of being the spouse or partner of a settled person, you will need to meet the rules which were in force before 9 July 2012 if you apply for settlement."

Thank you so much katya_s

The UK border website is like a maze and I couldn't find anything. Maybe It had something to do with the blind panic I was in after learning of the changes. Huge relief for us, yet I'm so angry for the families this affects.

Thanks again Katya_s
