Biometrics issue at PEO

Post by raamkres » Thu Oct 25, 2012 10:52 pm

Had an apptmt today at croydon PEO. All went well until some technical problems with biometric system. Waited till 430 today, case worker said that the biometric results has not come back so they cannot approve the case, she mentioned that all the documents are looking fine. they have retained all original docs and have told that they will post the docs with the approval (hopefully) as soon as they receive the biometric results. Has anyone experienced similar problem? i was seeing most of them with a similar case in croydon today.

Raamkres, you are correct as per the situation at Croyden PEO today. In my own case the case worker said everything was fine but cannot conclude due to biometrics not problem. But promised to send documents and BRP next. It was a general problem today. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Even in Liverpool PEO office I faced the same issue yesterday(25th oct).
CW said all the docs are fine but due to technical issue he cant decide it yesterday. He said he will give me a call today. But till now no call from him. One person who faced the same issue, got a call in the morning today and has been asked to collect his passports.
Did anybody else also got the call?

Hi all,

Can you please suggest if your biometrics were taken outside of UK before entry clearance ?

I think people who are giving biometrics first time might not be facing this issue and people who have provided biometric previously have to wait as ukba might be sending them to some other department to match them with old record and getting things delays.

So can you all suggest If it was first time you all gave biometric or you have already provided earlier , as this will help build pattern.

Regards,
Tipu

He didn't specify anything particularly. He only said its the problem with the biometrics system.

Very very important thing you have invented. I do not think present biometric is related with first one ( at time of EC application I gave only fingerprint). However I Let me asked every one.

navodwickra, Lets start from you.any comments on that.

Thanks

Today I received the call from the CW and he told the good news. He will be sending the passports by post and told that he will order our biometic cards.

Congrats Mano5. I have not heard anything back, moreover the CW did not tell he will call me and update so I think will have to wait for the post.

Has anyone who applied at Croydon PEO hear anything back from caseworker(s)?

Thanks,

Did they tell that, they will call you or post the passports directly without making any call? For us in Liverpool, CW told that he will call us, which I received yesterday.

In my case, I opted to collect my documents back in-person, so I was told that someone will call once the decision has been made.

Hi Raamkres,

If I may ask, what time was your appointment at the PEO on 25th Oct?

Thanks,
Jay

Delay continued...30th Oct

Post by abhic » Tue Oct 30, 2012 6:56 pm

It seems from 26th Oct, there is a problem with biometric system. I attended my appointment at Croydon PEO today(30 Oct 2012). All went smooth but the caseworker told me that she can not approve my case today itself due to problems with biometric system. She also mentioned that I have earned points as claimed and returned all my documents except passport(she provided a receipt mentioning my passport is with UKBA). She told me they will post it back within 5 working days and also they will call me to update. There were many people with same issue.
Overall, it is not same day service but 2 weeks service.
