Be aware of scam phone calls to the applicants in the name of UKBA. If you get any phone call in the name of UKBA, don't get tensed and tell everything they ask. They may try to grab sensitive personal information or financial information like card numbers or something.
As far as I know UKBA contacts the applicants in written (post or email) if they need any further information to process the applications.

So, be aware of scams in the name of UKBA.

I had a phone call from scam people today also asking me to pay £626 for CISA no. They want me to transfer the money to India via Western Union.

I complained to police about that, but police told me to complain via

Hi guys ,

The processing time has been updates on the ukba website.

`We are currently considering applications where the applicant attended a biometric appointment on or before 6 September 2012.'

Hopefully we should get our visa's soon.

The UKBA website also states:

For applications made inside the UK under Tier 1 of the points-based system, the standard is that we will decide 90 per cent of applications within 4 weeks of the applicant attending a biometric appointment.

Before it stated that 75% of applications were decided with 4 weeks! So let's pray that they actually hurry this process up! So fed up of waiting now!!!

Anyone one else who went for biometrics in July and received anything???

Please please post as this will help others too!!!!

I don't understand on what basis does UKBA update the processing dates as there are so many people, who have applied in July, still waiting for their visas.

Should I ask my documents back? They will cancel my visa

Post by shanky » Wed Oct 31, 2012 1:49 pm

hi Guys Should I ask for my documents back from UKBA I guess they will reject my visa.

May be you guys can advice me on following

I give my biometrics on 18 July nothing heard from UKBA after that , I showed that I am in travel agency/ tour operator business and showed my designation as office manager. Other day someone told me that my visa will be rejected for travel agency/tour operator business as according to tire 2 code list (section S -other service acitivity) travels agents come under NVQ level 3 and above but i guess we need NVQ level 4 or above . But in the form I mentioned my designation as office manager which according to tire 2 code list come under (section N administrative and support service) which is NVQ level 4 or above. Not sure if they give me a visa on the basis of designation.

Showed 100% fund abroad (INDIA). My visa expires in 21/Dec/2012. Do you think I should ask my documents back from UKBA and reapply showing some business according to trie 2 code list or I should wait for them to cancel my visa and then I should apply it. Was wondering if I have to pay UKBA fees again.

also advice me that i did my master in tourism business administration can i show IT or marketing business has education to do with the business we apply visa for ?

Regards

Yes, they will consider your application withdrawn if you request your passport. The rest of your comments have been extensively covered in your previous threads and perhaps that is the best place to continue, as readers can see at a glance what you know already and what other information may be added.

Hello guys

Thought you guys need to know this, I got my original document back from UKBA with a letter saying " visa approved, BRP in separate post". I haven't received the BRP yet but hoping to receive it in a couple of days.

I gave my biometric on 18 July, 100 % funds abroad (India), got the approval letter today i.e 1/Nov/12

Hope this helps

Good luck to you all. You guys should also get your response soon.
