Don't wait any longer (unless you really enjoy waiting). The UKBA are now in breach of EU law. Do call regularly, do write and do contact your local MP to write to them on your behalf.

When you write to them use the words "breach of EU regulations", "seek compensation". That usually helps.

And - Complain.

Additionally to writing the letter to them, you can complain using the UKBA's online complaint form here: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/about ... o-complain

At last report (a few weeks ago), this email account was also being used by the UKBA: UKBACustomerComplaints@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
