Tier 2 Company with various branches

Can a Tier 2 licence holder (national wide) company sponsor its employee to any of its branch or is it limited to sponsor for only those branches which are in the UKBA Tier 2 register of sponsors?

the sponsor has to be the organisation that is on the T2 register of sponsors, they will be your employers and pay your salary, but your place of work can be at any of the branches.

Thanks for your reply, all the organisations in the T2 register of sponsors comes with certain location. For instance Barclays Bank PLC comes with location London in T2 register, if someone secure a Graduate job in their Birmingham branch can Barclays bank sponsor that person for Tier 2 visa Or in other words can applicant only be eligible to apply visa if he is working in London branch? as mentioned in T2 register of sponsors.

Which (location) is the registered address / headquarters of the sponsor in the UK.

It does not mean that the sponsors can only employ migrants at their registered address / headquarters only.

For instance, Tesco Stores has only one entry in the T2 sponsor register but if Tesco sponsors you you could be working at any of their hundreds of branches.

Can I Be Sponsored?

Post by britishtex » Thu Nov 29, 2012 9:46 pm

I am currently working under a Tier 1 PSW Visa but earn a salary of just under £20,000. Would it be possible to get a Tier 2 Visa if my sponsor is a large bank? I mean, they know I am under a Tier 1 PSW and when I questioned this during the interview, they said as long as you have the current right to work for any UK employer with no hour limitations, I was fine.

Your salary has to be at least £20k or the appropriate min. salary corresponding to the job SOC code, whichever the higher, and the job has to be NQF6 level.
