What does residing for a continuous period of 5 yrs mean?

Post by lawe » Tue Jan 30, 2007 12:02 pm

Hi

Reading the EEA4 form it appears that for the right to reside permanently in the UK, my wife (non-EEA) needs to have resided with me (German) for a continuous period of 5 years.

What happens if my wife has resided with me in the UK for more than 5 years, BUT the first year was on a working holiday visa.

Who needs to prove the 5 years with employment history etc? Myself or my wife?

Thanks
