PSW to Tier 2 General Immediate help

Post by santoshimaa » Tue Nov 20, 2012 5:38 pm

Hi,

I am applying for Tier 2 General on the 28th of November. I have a question regarding the maintenance funds. On the COS my employer has ticked the below question

"Tick to confirm the sponsor certifies maintenance for the migrant: Y"

1) Can they do it for Tier 2 General applications?
2) A friend of mine was saying that it is for Tier 2 ICT applications only proving that the employer has provided funds for the first month or so.

Doesn't seems to be the case if you read this
Alternatively, you will score 10 points if you can provide evidence that:

you have £900 in personal savings, which has been in your bank account for a continuous 90-day period ending no more than 31 days before the date of your application; or
your sponsor has an A rating and has confirmed in your certificate of sponsorship that it will maintain and accommodate you (to a level of £800 or more) until the end of your first month of employment in the UK if required.
Important point is
documents we require as evidence of your sponsor certifying your maintenance
151. If your sponsor certifies maintenance, this must be confirmed on your Certificate of
Sponsorship.
152. Only A-rated (Premium), A-rated (SME+) or A-rated sponsors can certify your
maintenance.

Thank you very much for your response...

But I am confused. When you say

"Doesn't seems to be the case if you read this "

do u mean Tier 2 General sponsors can't tick it?

"Have you ever had any Home Office or UK Border Agency reference number(s) assigned to you?"

Where can I find these reference numbers?

Any fast response will be highly appreciated because I have an appointment tomorrow in the morning. Thank you.
