Changes to Immigrations Rules Announced Today

Post by Sheffield_Marketeer » Thu Nov 22, 2012 4:10 pm

Some positive changes affecting these categories have been announced today:

Tier 1 - entrepreneurs and investors.
Tier 2 - skilled workers, including changes for senior intra-company transfers.
Tier 4 - students, including extending the interim limit.

You can give this a read here:

Read from page 68 for any coherent explanation.

Some changes have been announced on the 180 days leave pertaining settlement, as well as some others. Most positive. The pdf details out the changes.

Hi,

I was reading through the link below w.r.t latest immigration changes

http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/publicatio ... iew=Binary

From 13 December 2012 we will be making the following changes:
Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) Migrants can stay in the UK for a maximum of 5 years in the Long Term Staff sub-category. The category does not lead to settlement and a 12 month “cooling off period” applies before migrants can return.

Does this apply to all Tier 2 ICT or for Applications put in after April 2011.

I have first arrived to UK on Nov 2009 and have extended twice, and will I be eligible for ILR on Nov 2014 or because of above rule I will not be eligible for settlement.

Any advice is appreciated.
