anyone know how long it takes to get the User ID for the SMS via the post? My company is on the sponsor list now, and have received the password via email on Friday. Still waiting for the User ID :-S

you should get by tomorrow, if you have not got today. it will come through Royal mail.

my employer got it on 3rd day after receiving confirmation.

I posted this before on friday on this very thread. Copy pasting it here for reference

26th June 2012- Sponsor application made
8th October - Urgent treatment requested
12th October - UKBA got in touch regarding missing documents
22nd October - Sponsorship refused regardless of sending correct documents
26th October - Made fresh Sponsor Registration application. ( i have also sent my Tier 2 visa application without COS)
27th October - tier 1 PSW visa expired
6th November - invitation for Biometrics received (which i haven't gone to yet)
15th November - Urgent treatment requested (should've done this earlier)
23rd November - Company received email with confirmation that they have been registered as a sponsor.
26th November - Name appears on sponsor list. Though haven't got the details on post, so we can assign COS

I think mine is similar situation as your. The list has the name of my employer but my employers still need CoS to assign (I think). I thought since this is their first time application, the CoS will come along immediately but this does not seem to be the case.

Please update me on what you are doing/ one should be doing.

im in a very stressed state...my company applied for sponsor license first week of april through a solicitor and havnt got any replies yet.Mean while my visa expired and i applied for tier 2 without cos.postponed the biometrics twice..after which they refused the application..and had to reapply with the same solicitor.they never told me about this urgent request option.after reading in this forum a couple of days ago,i again asked him about the possibility for urgent request.but they seem to be less interested...im very much worried what to do...pls help guys...will really appreciate your help..

We are in a confused state here...Has anybody encountered this ? My PSW expires in March 2013.To have ample amount of time we applied in July 2012 and this is the timeline of events...Anybody has idea whats going on?

19 July: Application Submitted

7 September: Letter from UKBA indicating we may be entitled to a refund of our fee. There was no indication of the status of the application itself.

7 September: Email to UKBA requesting clarification of their letter and an explanation of the status of the application.

27 September: Email Response from UKBA - Saying my query has been submitted to the relevant team and they would be in touch ASAP.

8 October: Having received no response we sent a chase up email.

10 October: UKBA sent an email asking us to clarify what we wanted to them to look into. This email made no reference to the previous email saying that my query had been sent to relevant department.

10 October : Clarification email sent by ourselves to UKBA

11 October: UKBA respond saying they have no record of our application on the system....

15 October: Email from new adviser at UKBA saying that they have emailed the case worker at UKBA again to chase.

16 October: We sent another email stating urgency of the matter explaining work permits due to expire March 2013

6 November: Received an email from UKBA asking if all has been resolved!!!!!

6 November: Replied to UKBA indicating nothing has been resolved... We are still no clearer regarding the status of the application.

8 November: Email from UKBA 'apologising' and asking me for a copy of the correspondence dated 7th September.

8 November: We sent a copy of the correspondence.

Hi Guys,

Its quite weird they have removed 450 licenses from list.

But the good news is that our company has received the license.

Remember our company already had "Tier 2 ICT" so it was just adding "Tier 2 General"l.

We applied on 6th August 2012 (No Urgent request).

We have not checked if we have received any un-restricted COS (which we should have received).

So you can say they are processing August 2012 Applications.

I am sure all other people will also get their License too soon.

I will be posting some questions regarding T2 Application which I hope will get answers from experts.

EDIT - ignore the below - HR figured it out

Quick question - wondering if anyone can answer.

We have got access to the Sponsor Management system. The letter that came today said that we can assign 1 unrestricted certificate. However we are finding it difficult to find how to do this.

We have filled all the information and come to the point where we should be able to "assign", yet the "assign" button is disabled.

Any help on how to proceed?

It was just the fact that "all mandatory" fields were not filled in. When we double checked we found this out, and once everything is filled you should be able to assign and pay for it.

We applied 27 July!!! No word yet... although, i cannot say that the HR at my school is the most 'on the ball'... grrr!!!

Only 5 more added today. What is going on here??? First they take off nearly 500, now they have slowed the pace of adding more on back to a trickle.... Oh dear.... How are they ever going to get back to the 4-8 week target????

After reading all the discussion on this blog, i am guessing we are not going to get licence within next one months even if we will request to urgent process our application. :cry:

You will not get license in normal circumstances.

Just ask for urgent treatment on 5th December.

Why did you apply for license so late ?

it because we thought it won't take more than 2 months but after reading every ones response on this blog I am guessing, we will not going to get licence till Jan, in which case I have to leave this country.

applied for company license first weekof april....today recieved a call from

ukba saying that prelicensing visit is scheduled for jan 14...and license will be

issued only one month after that or may be even later....now this is the end

for me..i have already reapplied my visa without cos and i cant wait any long

er...please any solutions....dont know what to do?
