leave it. They have a lot time left. If anything call them and ask for your passport back. That may spped it up. Otherwise just leave it and wait. Is there any reason you need it asap?

My other half has just received hers.

EEA3 application posted on 15/10/2012
Received by UKBA on 16/10/2012
Request for return of ID card sent on 23/11/2012
PR certificate received on 28/11/2012 (issued on 14/11/2012)

Nationality: Polish (WRS done)
Basis: work, job-seeker, job-seeker + trainee (simultaneously)

She de-registered herself at the job centre when she became an unpaid trainee in a small company which eventually took her up as a full time employee, so her boss wrote a statement saying that she was a trainee in view of gaining employment.

She has been a full time student till now, but has never had any CSI, so we had to prove that she had been qualified as per the Directive by other means i.e. full-time or part-time worker, job-seeker, etc.

Her company went bankrupt after the PR application, by the way.

Now, I have to wait for my never-ending Tier 1 (General) extension process.

Waiting for COA: But need advise please

Post by Tyro » Mon Dec 10, 2012 9:15 pm

Hello Everyone,

we have sent EEA3 for my wife last month. but have not received COA. But this is not the main problem. Please advise us on following.

Her nationality is Cypriot. We supplied following documents. Just wondering if we have included everything needed.

1. EEA3 Form + Her Passport + Covering Letter + 2 passport size photographs
2. Proof of self employment ( Tax return form for last year, 4-5 recent invoices+ Her personal account statements as she receives business payments in her personal account: will that be a problem?). Also sent NI bills.
3. Employer reference letters for three Jobs + pay slips for one job where she didn't have any ref. letter and confirmation email print out for the fifth job where she didn't have any payslip or reference, as it was temporary Job for 7 weeks: will that be a problem?)
4. 5 years council tax bills
5. Email from recruitment agencies for the time she was unemployed and not registered as job seeker.

thought to share as there may be other people in same situation where they didn't register with job centre and were looking for jobs through job agencies.

Could someone with more experience please check this list and advise if we stand a chance of getting a PR For her.

Many Thanks

wow that's fantastic! i am really curious as to the nationality of posters. my cynical side suspects a national hierarchy of priority when dealing with cases. i personally hold a bulgarian passport. eea3 posted aug 8 2012, not sure when received but i assume not long after since i posted it by recorded mail. asked for return of passport mid september, it came within a week with instructions not to send back until ukba asked for it. i sent it back to them soon after anyway.

many months later i am still waiting for ILR. getting cake and candles ready for this friday feb 8 to mark 6 happy months that have cost me a very attractive job offer (through inability to prove uk work eligibility) and a lot of nerves.

should monday feb 11 roll around with no results, i'll be making my polite call to the ladies and gents manning the switchboard of the bureaucracy.

hang in there fellas. what else is there to do!

Have anyone been waiting longer than 6 months?
EEA3 application sent 07/09/2012
Received by UKBA 10/09/2012
Have called UKBA several times after 6 months period, they are not able to tell you anything. Have sent few letters - no response. Have requested my passport back, hoping that it would speed up the process. Passport have arrived today with a note 'Please do not return your Passport to home Office until it has been requested by a caseworker' which means that they are not going to process my application anytime soon.
If anyone knows what to do please help. Another 2 weeks and I can mark 8 months waiting. My case is really straightforward, EEA national, have been in the same job for over 6 years.
