Documents Required for 10 yrs ILR

Post by citygirlUK » Sun Dec 09, 2012 8:54 pm

Hi All,

I have a query regarding the documents required for applying under 10 yrs ILR.

SetO form is bit confusing at it doesn't provide much information on documents needed for 10 yrs ILR.

So far I have gathered that I need to send

1) SetO form (completed with details of days of absence from UK mainland)
2) 2 passport size photos
3) 2 passports (old and new)
4) Life in the UK test
5) Cover Letter

However, I do not understand if I need to send following items or not along with documents stated above:

1) Banks statement of last 12 months
2) Payslips of last 12 months
3) Employment letter
4) P60 forms
5) University certificates and transcripts
6) Professional Qualification certifications

I would really appreciate guidance from the forum users. Please guide me what I need to send along with my applications.

Many Thanks
Citygirl

1. Items 1-4 would be to show your income/employment etc, as relevent to Section 5, if you are required to complete this section.

2. Items 5, 6 would have no significance to this application.

3. Any previous passports - which you have included.

4. I am assuming you are required to include your current BRP cards.
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.

Don't push Hard, only smart...The more docs you supply the more authentications/checks are to be done. Simple rule : Keep it as simple as possible..Less hassle to the case worker and to you.

@Citygirl,

If you are applying for 10year ILR.

Only 3 Documents are sufficient enough.

1) Fully completed latest version SET(O) application form.

2) Current & previous passports(which you have held in last 10 years).

3) Life in the UK test pass certificate.

If you do not have any passports then you need to prove that you have spent last 10 years legally in the country.

UKBA has every thing on their system to check just with your Ho Ref number.
Information provided is general guidance and does not constitute legal advice.
