Switching PSW to Tier 2

Dear All,
I am kindly looking for advice from this forum.
I am working as Research Biologist in Consultancy firm since March 2011 with PSW visa after completing PhD in this country. My salary is 26K.

I presume I can switch Tier 2 category as I am working with this company more than 6 month. How difficult it is to get sponsorship for a company. I m not sure whether my company will be willing to do this if there too much hassle for them to get sponsorship.


Any advice will be much appreciated.
