This is my understanding as well.BACK_TO_GB wrote:Hello hsmp_distressed,
I believe that in order to demonstrate that you have 20 points from your earnings: you need to add up the Total Gross salaries that you have earned during the 12 month period you are using(within the last 15 month period from your application)
take that Sum and convert it to Sterling Pounds (with the current exchange rate) and match that with your country band. See how many points you get.
There is no where on the Guidance notes that says that every month needs to be consistent with the band and points - always reference is to the amount earned during the 12 month
all the best...
I have a question on this -- Is a written certificate a MUST [It will complicate my already complicated life] or something like a printout of a mail from a college authority certifying that the degree taught in English the way to go?hsmp.applicant2007 wrote:Hi,
The answers to your concerns are as follows,
1. Earnings - The points you earn for earnings NEED to be for previous 12 months...So if you have moved into the 20 point bracket in Jan 07 then you need to earn the same amount until Dec 07 in order to claim 20 points.
2. English language - The rules on English Language are fairly clear. Irrespective of your education/institution you'd still need a certificate stating your medium of instruction was English. Even if you're an English Literature Graduate from HarvardYou might also want to consider appearing for IELTS in order to have a solid proof for English language requirement.
