EEA FAMILY PERMIT VISA -My experience if it can help others

Hi,

i am writing down my experience applying for a EEA FAMILY permit visa (non settlement) in pakistan

I am a frencch national living in uk, i got married in last october in pakistan to a pakistani national.

we applied while i was in pakistan on the 23 rd of november.

Here is a list of documents we submitted ( ORIGINALS AND COPIES ):

- birth certificate
- marriage certificate
- her TB test
- Her IELTS EXAM result
- My tennancy agreement
- My wages slips
- my employee letter
- My uk residentcy card
- water bills
- council tax bills
- my and her passport
- my Hm revenue tax code

The day of applying, they just saw and check my passport adn residency card, they gave it back to my wife and kept the copies, but kept all others documents originals and copies.

Not All my documents above are compulsury i guess, i am just writing all the documents i gave to support my application if it can help someone .

So here is the TImeline process :

EEA FAMILY PERMIT submitted in pakistan :

submitted on 23rd november
Application forwarded to Islamabad OC : 23 rd november
Application under process at brithish high commission : 6th december
applica ready to be picked up : on 17 december

and result my wife got the visa 6 months:)

if anyone have any questions, if possible i would answer them to help anyone cheers

Hi,

my wife has submitted her EEA FP application on the 05/12/12, but the status is still forwarded to islamabad oc. will the following status change be Forwarded to BHC?.


Lets hope I will hear sum good news soon in shaa allah!

yes The next status will be under process at british high commission
should change in 2 weeks time from the date she submitted her application

Only the two items marked are required. The rest were a waste of your time and money, and could have caused the application to be refused.

Thank you Aimran... its been 2 weeks today, and still the status has not changed, and more worrying is that they have their christmas holidayz on 24th, 25th and 26th so even more delay there!

@directive: I contacted both british high commisiion and Gerrys and they both told me that a TB test is necessary, even though i qouted a reference on the UKBA website that EEA FP applicants do not need a TB test, since its for 6 months only!, I Gss they dont know their stuff properly

Please note that she will need to submit TB Cert made by IOM Islamabad.

MED2.3 Who is exempt from needing a TB certificate?

An applicant applying for an EEA family permit is not required to produce a certificate showing them free from active pulmonary TB as EEA family permits are valid for six months.
