Non EU get citizenship live in UK

I am non-EU and live in non-EU country but have Italian mother and think that means I can get Italian citizenship as I want to live in UK. If I get the Italian citizenship would I be able to move straight to the UK or do I have to live in Italy first?

Once I am in UK I think need to work or be economically self sufficient to stay there more than three months. I would be coming to UK with my non EU partner who would be working – can I say that I am economically self sufficient because of what they earn?

Anyone able to answer? I have tried to research but I can't find answers to these points whether I need to live in Italy for a while before going to the UK and whether relying on my non-EU partner's income would mean I was self sufficient. Grateful for advice.
