Can I extend Tier 2 General?

Hi All,

Thank you Jeeves for your reply. I am so confused about my situation. Can anyone please help me :'(

Here's my situation. I started working for my College on a fixed term contract in December 2011. This was renewed until July 2013. My employer recently got the sponsorship licence. Now, if I get the Tier 2 General visa until July 2013, will I be able to extend it?

Should I ask my employer for a permanent contract? Please help me.

Also, does anyone know the email add for UKBA?

What salary are you on?

Hi Jeeves,

I am on Tier 1 PSW visa. My employer has recently received the tier 2 licence t sponsor me. My current visa runs out on the 16th of March and my contract with my employer is until July 2013. I am a Biology Teacher

You can apply for Tier 2 but you're going to need your employee to issue you with a CoS - you're going to need to speak with your boss or HR about this.

There is no problem with the COS. If I apply for the tier 2 General visa now, how long the visa would be if my contract finished in July 2013? will I have to extend my tier 2 general visa after July 2013?
