My sis in law is college educated from Pakistan and she has a reasonable grasp of English. She took 2 months to study for her English test and passed first time. She got her certificate from City and Guilds.

I'd say it's pretty easy for a LLB graduate to pass

I READ SOMEWHERE that spousal sponsoring tests just the speakinga nd listening only....not the reading and writing..
but when I phoned several places in India they said the studennt has to take ALL tests including the reading and writing as well.
they said you cant just take bits of it.

THEY ALSO SAID TAKE KET (KEY ENGLISH TEST ) as that is easier than the IELTS and they said that is accepted for spousal visa..

please post your experiences about this

there is too much confusing info about ENG lang requiremets...

there is IELTS and there is KET and there is city and guilds..

each is a creature and a beast with its own peculiarities...

please post your experiences here so people can compare

WHY ARE THERE SO LOW RESPONSES, VERY FEW REPLIES, ON THIS DISCUSSION FORUM ?

has any one used UK narics
how did you get on

i phoned BRIT council in MUMbai and got a very bad impression of them...

i got the feeling that they deliberately want people to take the harder IELTS test even though it may be possible for them to do the easiser KET ...

may be perhaps its because they make more money out of it???

KET is only available 3 times p yaer whereas IELTS is on lot more frequently

how did u find it
