[quote="gnarne"]Hi,
I was a single applicant for ILR and got successful on 20th Dec 2012 at PEO Liverpool. Just would like to share my experience in case it helps anyone else.
I am working on same company for 6 years (with visa on PSW and then HSMP with extension on Tier One). My visa expire on 16th jan 2013, so booked my visa appointment on 28th day i.e. 20th Dec 2012 as to finish of early before Christmas holidays. In past five years, I took only 127 days out of UK as annual leaves. So my case was straight forward.
On the day of my appointment: The appointment was at 11am but arrived at 10.20am, 10 minutes early.
Had my security check like we have in airport and then received PEO token with direction to wait in waiting area. This has taken around 5 minutes.
With in two minutes of settling on chair, staff called my token to have initial checks where they did initial checks like which application I had, passport, photos, did I got HSMP Letter, payslip or employer letter and issued main token number also asked my to sign on a form where they will take money irrespective of decision. This has taken around 5 minutes overall.
Next I had been called (new token issues above) for payment with in two minutes, they have taken money like how we pay in shop using chip and pin. Anyway overall this has taken not more than five minutes.
Now starts the main bit. Within five minutes, case work called me and taken all documents (mention below) with one set of copy and asked me to back and wait in waiting area.
In five minutes time, case worker again called me (I was tense) and she said documents looks good now go for biometric.
In next two minutes, biometric person called me and this was done in five minutes.
After biometric, I waited for above 15 minutes and finally case worker called me and said your application for ILR is approved and you would get BRP in next seven working days and also said in case if you leave this country with a gap more than 2 years then you have to re-entry permission. By listening all that, I cold down and was very happy. Taken all my originals and packed them and came out at 11.15
PEO Liverpool was very user friendly and fast which taken only 45 minutes for the decision, I recommend this where I was thinking that this will take longer and have wait for more than four hours ( planned to use my iPad for reducing my nerves). Anyway all went ok with god grace.
Also finally I have receive my BRP today on 23rd Dec which was a surprise gift for this Christmas as I though this will arrive in first week of January 2013 that to on receiving on Sunday.
Documents I have submitted
Application form Set(o)
Two photos in a envelop
Passport new and old
HSMP letters (initial one and extension)
Life in UK letter
12 months bank statement showing my salary
12 months payslip on letterhead with covering letter from company
Saving account for three months showing I am economically strong.
Optional Documents with copy
photos
Master Certification with transcripts
NI letter and card ( not required but taken for safe side)
Address proof like driving license, Council tax, Utility Bills (not required but taken for safe side)
Five years P60
Employer contract document.
I was glad and bit organised and had taken extras as even though they weren't needed and also case worker didn't ask me any more documents.
I just wanted to say thank you for everyone on these boards for their help and information, we couldn't have done it without you.
Good luck to anyone else going through it all
